There have been various posts in the forum describing the 2 foot+ aquariums as "Nano Tanks".

However when one checks the definition of Nano tanks, its usually given as 1 to 20 Gallons (US). which means the max length of a tank can be 18 inches (and not a cube!). Or have I got my calculations wrong again?

Does this mean we have been using this term very loosely? Should we go the PMDD way??

I would love to hear members' opinions on this subject: 'What exactly constitutes a Nano Tank'?

The more animated the discussion the better!

standart 2ft (2x1x1) is actually less than 18 gallons. I do not think there is specific definition for Nano tanks.
