Emergency water measures

I run my L46 tank on 2 Eheim filters (2028, 2026). Earlier today, I discovered that the 2pin plug that came with the filter was loose and one of the filters had stopped working...

When I touched the plug, the filter got activated and spewed smelly water into the tank...

I immediately changed half the water and added any chlorine... will change another 50 percent in an hour time..

Also dosed easylife as soon as I could....

Is there anything else I should have done?

Run an air stone if you're not already doing it.

I changed 50% of the water and another 50% an hour later (dechorinated)... In the meantime i positioned the rain bar to hammer air into the water... Think its all a-ok now..
