5000L/hr? Tsunami?
I bought a Sunsun wavemaker circulation pump from C328 recently for my 3ft Zebra tank.... As wavemaker circulation pumps are not commonly used in freshwater aquariums locally, I decided to do a quick review...
The Sunsun wavemaker is a neat little package that is not too much larger than a tennis ball... It comes in flowrate sizes of 3000 to 6000l/hr... I believe I bought the 5000l/hr version...
It looks pretty much like the hydor/tunze wavemaker pumps and come with a niffy magnetic attachment device... The entire structure seems solid enough, although I have not had the chance to compare it with other brands...
The grill covering the water inlet seems a little too wide and that led me to worry that my shrimps and fish fries will get drawn in....
The pump output at 5000l/hr is way too high for my 3ft... and/or my 4ft... Regret not getting the 3000l/hr model...
Overall I feel that this pump is value for money but may be too powerful for even 4ft tanks...
