Try asking Chan at NA
Went to Polyart where I bought the set (2 sets actually), asked the uncle at the counter if i could get it repaired. he had no idea. Told him that I had purchased both sets on his (or whoever was managing it then) around 6 months ago, to which his reply was "impossible"!
Explained that I wasn't looking for a warranty (though I was quite upset at his approach), but I wanted to know how could I get it repaired and would be quite willing to pay for it.
Anyway he relented, checked the set and said it was the e-ballast, which always was a problem it seems and that's the reason why the company had dropped the 36W line! (now he tells me!!)
However he promised to see what he could do by contacting the co in a week's time.
All this sounds quite dubious to me and I don't see the point in following up with Polyart. Oh what a difference in service from Mrs.and Mr. Toh! Oh well, one lives and learns......
Any inputs where I could get the e-ballast changed would be much appreciated.

Thank you! I'll hop over tomorrow itself with the set and get it repaired.

for get it, get new one. NA sell branded e-ballast and it cost more than new PL light set. But of course that e-ballast is very efficient.
Bro Binks,
You can try Sea View too as they are very helpful.
Swap out the e-ballast. Get a good one and your light set will last a long time. You can also try the electrical or hardware stores. Just make sure you get the correct wattage.
Suckerfish no eat poo poo.
If your magnum PL light same as mine, the e balast would be small and long type and that type is difficult to get.
Thank you everyone! Yes Shadow, it was difficult to get. So I went over and got it replaced at NA, took 15 minutes!
Unfortunately as soon as I came back I found that my second set was not working! Talk about bad karma!
So now I have four options:
(1)Spend another S$19 plus petrol driving all the way from Clementi to NA for another repair job.
(2) try Sea View as BlackHawk suggests and do the same.
(3) Do as Bryan suggests and get a ballast and repair it myself. This option is fraught with risk, Bryan! I'm not good with my hands and I am also sitting on three tubes plus some stuff I wrongly bought, and I can never use. An expensive series of mistakes which I seem to be continuously committing!
(4) Junk the whole damn thing and buy the ANS 18inch 36W PL set being advertised by Cacatuodes (I hope I have the spelling right, Latin was never my strong point!)
