they leave the bigger shrimps alone, but the shrimplets that they can fit into their mouths they will eat, so if your intention is to breed the shrimps, you don't want corys in your shrimp tank.

Not sure for bigger corys, but my C.pygmaeus does not eat shrimps or shrimps let. They do fighting for the food (algae wafer) though.

They probably won't "hunt" for them but if one is unfortunate to come in front of its mouth...
All fish are opportunistic in the wild.
None will reject an easy meal when presented.
So I'd add that pygmy Corydoras species may reduce the chance but not eliminate it...

I thought shrimp will clear waste food. My C.Pygmaeus doesn't seems to eat frozen blood worm even if it drop right in front of it. Maybe vegetarian (herbivore)

I think leave the shrimp to do the job, they are generally scavengers and feed on any material that have settled to the bottom.

If you don't feed your shrimp too much and too often then there won't be problems with waste food right?

Alot of time the fish are so blur that the food goes to the bottom, so the shrimps will just go after it, there are many times the shrimps go after the food, faster than the fish.
