    Hi

Like to know if there's any safe solutions?
Saw a few mosquito larvae in my shrimp tank just now.
Simple 2t tank with sponge filter, yet the buzzies manage to breed in there.

Kind brothers have advised me not to put any fish inside as they might snack on my shrimplets.

Add some Boraras brigittae or Boraras Merah in to tackle the mosquito breeding issue. If you are afraid that the fishes will eat your shrimplets, plant your shrimp tank heavily to provide lots of hiding place / escape routes for the shrimplets and just hope for the best!

Just put a lid over your tank.
No more breeding for other mosquitos and the larvae will soon die of starvation.

**Might increase temperature of tank with a lid.

using a lid may not benefit very much eventhough it does prevent mosquitoes from touching on the water surface, as it inevitably increases the water temperature too.

may not be good for the shrimps, unless you are using a chiller.

You can use a fan to blow the water surface or spray bar with small powerhead/carnister filter. Mosquito does not like moving water.

I have a sponge filter, thus the water is not stagnant...
    The mosquitoes are still breeding
I'm deciding to add some really small mouth fishes and observing my shrimplets too.

eh, why not use mosquito netting? i think it will not raise temperature as much as a lid/cover does.
