here's an update on my tank...

had two experienced hobbyist asking me to replant my hairgrass... so here it is...! much less clumpy now. i came back from work, gave my hands a good wash and started planting away. good lord, took me about 1 hour man.... luckily it was at the bottom tier still can sit on a short stool.. if not... wah terok man!

hope it will creep fast! when i pulled up the clumps i saw some runners and new little shoots so i think the hairgrass is adapting pretty well... after pulling out the clumps, i now have 1 pot of hairgrass left. nghh. shouldn't have been too greedy...

added echinodorus tennellus at the back! thanks k3nlim bro for the trade.. hope my yamatoes and other dwarf shrimps are happy in the tank! can't wait for my e tennellus to creep also... hmmmmm.....

oh yea, of course, i managed to find some suction cups for my fissidens and taiwan moss on mesh. totally removed the driftwood and small flame moss mesh... shall leave them somewhere first..

it looks rather tidy now! i think all i can do now is to wait for the tank to mature... yes?

    update - 21 days later

    21 days later...

taiwan moss on lava rocks growing well, almost covering the fishing line already.. lots of new green fronds but am now thinking of retying some of the rocks as i didn't cover the sides with moss so i might still be seeing moss.. i guess i'll just be tying them down onto the sides after they grow too long...

hairgrass spotted having new shoots, and some runners as well! but i keep getting uprooted hairgrass floating around... wondering if its my yamatoes or my otos pulling them up... grrr...

here's my e. tennellus turning red.. i think they're starting to fill up the background.. lots of runners everywhere, gotta keep pushing the new runners into the sand.. can't stand the unsightly roots.

have also inserted WonderGro Root+ tabs into the lapis, hoping they're grow faster and fill out the back completely.

as you can see, my water is extremely brown from the driftwood now. sigh. should've soaked them for a longer time. quite an eyesore really... can't stand it. will be doing 50% instead of 20% WC weekly now. contemplating on putting some activated carbon to remove the tannins..

Nice one bro...i got more e.tennellus waiting for you...3/4 tub full..enough to form the e.tennellus "bush" that you want.

p.s you got to hurry abit because they're browning abit at the tips already if not they're perfectly healthy.
