Easiest and fastest way, take out the wood and boil it, do a few partial water changes for your tank (over a couple of days).
Slower way, use activated carbon, but take note that it will absorb any fertilizer you dose along with the brown tinge.

I used purigen and many massive water changes...after 2-3 weeks finally the water is yellow instead of brown. another 1-2 weeks and it should be clear
ok thanks bro gurus. just simple patience and water change. my 1st time with drift wood lah
Actually the stain has more benefits than harm. The fish does enjoy the black water alike quality
If you can, take out the wood and boil it. If the wood is too big, pour boiling water over it. Do a 80% to 100% water change (careful about the fish) and use seachem purigen thereafter.
thanks bros. i cant boil it because the moss has grown into it and i took it from the outdoors - drift wood and moss together with miniature orchid growing on top of the wood which sticks out of the water. the plus factor is the benefit of black water.
orchid growing on top of the wood?I want to see your set-up
