the honeycomb is beeswax. it is not edible.
I happen to have a jar honey with a piece of nice looking honeycomb in it.
The content label says it's from Hungary and the honey is made from bees feeding from acacia plants.
So is the honeycomb edible? Makes our skin complexion smoother? Surely it must have serve some purpose.

Just to add in weight!
Honeycomb is edible. Some people believe beeswax is not digestible although it is edible but so is nori seaweed. Apparently nori passes through your system and (ahem) you pass it out. If you eat enough, you can see it in your you-know-what.
But honeycomb is sold as something to eat. And apparently is good for you (like nori which is a source of iodine amongst other elements).
Yum Yum. Eat a little no?
oh so it can be eaten..
though it is not very digestable, that's what you're saying right?
It is like eating corn right? Can see the 'corn' in your 'waste' right?
It tastes like wax as it really is bee wax.
Tonight going to sleep early and hope tomorrow morning my face shines so radiant all my work mates need to wear shade.![]()
I once saw Mustafa selling bee honeycomb itself. It's in a box and not being submerge in any liquid honey at all. Not sure how to use it. Quite expensive also. It's place in the honey section.
