A pleasant surprise. Sorry for lousy pictures.

Mom looking sharp... Small brood size from the young couple, only less than 20...

Relax fellas, she's got our backs covered...

    Dad...

Looking bored now that he is being neglected by Mom...

Hope there won't be too many casualties...

Haha yes i did consider getting a microworm culture, but thoughts of my mom's worm-clearing acts made me think twice.

Fries are currently growing healthily with nice bbs-filled tummies. After a while of getting used to, hatching bbs isn't that troublesome anymore.

Yi Xiang, in the words of the one who infected me with the apisto disease:

"Apisto tanks are too easy to setup! All you need is substrate, wood, sponge filters, and some moss! you don't even need a big tank! Low maintenance!!"

Adrian, thanks for your wood! its currently the prized possession of one of my leopard frogs

As for apisto keeping, sell your lonely red line torpedo and convert the tank!!!

blue33, awaiting your initiation into the apisto hobby

clinton, got tanks for pairs...no tanks for fry! haha, as you would know i'm back into the hobby keeping bitaeniata

i'm just trying not to breed them by making the tanks more conducive for my viewing and less conducive for their breeding

Yes... It's the mixture that smells... If not really good first food for feeding fries as they are really small...
