    Whats the chances of shrimps surviving with Dicrossus filamentosus in shrimp tank?

    Anything that can fit its mouth is food...
    So for small cherry shrimps, it is food... For yamatoes of size 1 inch and above, it is alright...

    yup...survival is slim, my apistos cleared my tank of cherries.

    I have been able to keep Cherry Shrimp populations going with Dicrossus filamentosus. One does need a low number of these dwarf Cichlids in a heavily planted tank with a large number of the shrimp to assure that the shrimp are able to maintain their numbers.
    One trio of D. filamentosus in a 12 X12 X 30 inch, 20 US gal long, is a good size to try this combination of shrimp and D. filamentosus.
