How many sides you cover? Use what color?

Is it better to cover only the back or 3 sides of the tank?
Wat color is better? Black or blue?

I only cover my 4ft tank back with blue colour only, so that my discus colour can be seen clearly.

Covering three sides of your tank would be better. Although probably 99.9% of the time people will cover just the back. The more sides that are covered the safer your fish will feel And thus colouration is less likely to be faded.

Generally covering jsut the back is more than adequate, especially if wanting to see into the sides of your tank.

Generally people with only cover the back of the tank.

It is really up to individual.

As for colourwise, personally most of us will go for black colour to bring out the colour of the scape.

3 sides make the fishes more calm as they are not so distracted?

I saw people doing that when breeding fishes.
