Having problem mainly with rotala species in my tank. So far I've tried rotala roudifolia and rotala wallichii. Non of them grow straight. Instead they bent and extend their network. Tried to trim them but fruitless

    Tank specs.

    - 2ft tank
    - 4x24W T5 HO house in solite casing. (6.5k, arcadia plant pro, 8k and 10k)
    - EI dosage regime.
    - 100% seachem flourite bed.

I'm worried by removing 1 tube, it will cause the glosso to grow upward.

haha, you want your rotalla straight, I want my rotalla bend so can fill out the empty space

you can try remove it first, in the event of the glosso growing upward, put it back.

You can take out the 2nd tubes behind, so you'll have weaker light behind and infront you still have strong light for the glosso to creep. If your light reflector can rotate that would also do the job.

Not really sure if this is the same situation as yours.

In my previous scape of my 4ft my rotala green are also very bendy. They grow straight after i inserted root tabs near them.

Might be due to nitrate deficiency same as me?
