Sera kH test kit need help

Sorry i think i have post this qns one day ago but i jus can't find it. Anyway is when conducting kH test is it supposed to turn blue first, via green then yellow ? This is not the case when i tested my water, it turn pale yellow in the 1st drop and becoming brighter at abt 4-5 drops. Is there any thing wrong with this kit ? If not wat kind of yellow should i recongize, pale or bright or dark yellow ? I have test with tap water and result roughy the same. Thankz

this means one of two things

1. your kH is very very low
2. your test kit is spoilt

supposedly blue to yellow

try testing against baking soda and see if you can get any colour change
