Hi, intending to add Hydrocotyle verticillata to my scape. Saw it at Polyart and it looked great being short and small. Saw a few pots at C328 but they have longer stems and slightly bigger leave radius.

Does anyone know how to trim this plant when it grows tall? Can I just cut each stalk at the stem and plant them into soil? Also, I intend to have them at specific spots. Will they creep all over and shadow the hairgrass below?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

you can just trim off the runners either when its growing towards the top or the side to keep it more compact looking.
relatively easy plant to grow but prefers higher lighting.

    Wow advice finally!!

Which part is the runner? Those I see at LFS, are already too tall for my liking. Can I trim before planting?

Ok. But that will only stop it from producing another sprout of leaf, which I intend to do so, cause I only want one leaf each at various positions. Or maybe to let young shoots grow up a bit before I cut away the older tall stalks. Seems quite a lot of maintenance for such an idea...zzzzz
