    Hi Guys,

Just FYI, the ghost shrimp will rip your moss like there's no tomorrow.
I just setup a small moss tank and intended to put Cherry/CRS inside.
But I dunno don't know whether my water condition is good for them, so I decided to buy some ghost shrimps for testing purposes.
Seems like they're doing very well, but sooner I realized there's a lot of small particles in my water. I got no idea what it is.

Later I've found out my java moss & spiky moss was ripped/dismantled by them.
OMG!!! All broken and floating around the water.

I thought they're carnivorous, anyone can confirm on this?

Yes.. ghost shrimps are no veggie/algae lovers.. They are fierce and even known to ambush and whack fishes larger than themselves..

These creatures are fierce but still largely omnivorous and scavengers... Opportunistic feeders, I might add... Anything they fancy and is available, they will try...

kktan: Maybe you added too many ghost shrimps? I also have them in my 2ft Xmas moss tank. A few only in the moss jungle. But I don't see any floating bits of mosses.

Feed them some food and see if they stop disturbing your mosses?
