Hi all. About a month ago, my female SP mamore red had fry.

But she died while the fry were really small. She was still herding the fry back then.

The last time I counted, I saw about at least 6 fry.

When the female died, I didn't see the fry again.

Until last night, I saw one!!!

I honestly hope I can find more of these guys. Its a real pain in the butt looking for just 1 female apisto.

And it has grown! Time to start hatching bbs again! Any other fishes in the tank? Better to remove if there is.

I have 7 cardinal tetras, 1 emperor tetra, 6 pygmy cories, 2 zebra otos, 1 oto and 1 red lizard cat in a 2 ft tank.

Strangely the father didn't eat the baby last night.

But finding the little one is a pain, 1/2 of my tank is covered in Java moss!

    So I can't seperate.....

Time to get a new female for your lonely SP mamore red male dude...
Sometimes death is unexpected so be prepare to get 2 pairs or a trio "1 male 2 female" for backup in case...

This reminds me of the story 'Finding Nemo'.

    "Good things come in pairs"

I found one more fry last night. I've seen them swimming together a few times this morning.

I took a few shots of them together. This 2 pics are taken with a 2mp camera phone.

The other pics I will upload soon as I used a 7mp digital cam to take. will upload when my sis passes me the camera back.

will get breeder traps so I can make sure they get to eat their bbs.

I keep seeing the same one fry today. didn't see the second one this time round.

Hopefully the other one is alright.

I hope one is male and the other is a female so I can at least do an F1.

but sadly none of them have the red tail which SP mamore red is famous for.
