Currently converted my 4X2X2 tanks to planted. I used OHF with 9 trays of wool for my mechanical filtration to trap the dust come from ADA soil (used) mixed with magic soil (new) that caused a cloudy water. my pump inside the tank is elevated (noth sucking the soil) with 3000l/Hr pumping. can I use OHF all the way after my tank will stabilished other than that I used cannister for my bio filter with Mr aqua CR and bacteria house. My current plant is java fern around 20% inside the tank. with 2 sets of 4ft 2 tubes fl light. current temp is 29.5 C, Please recommend what type of plants is suitable for my setup. once it stabilished (clear water I intend to use CO2) I want to plant it as much as possible like the flooring, can I plant moss, need your advice. what other equipement I need to provide or change. thanks. I'll post photo once the water become clear its only one day since I setup the tank

    hi bro/sis, any suggestion/recommendation. thanks

9 trays of wool to trap dust? Doing that will probably clog your filter quite quickly. If you already have an existing tank, converting it to a planted tank doesnt result in too much effort provided you already have gex/ada soil/magic soils etc.

It is good you have decided to go with "planting as much as possible" as that is the best setup.

Take some time to think what kind of plants you like to have, decide on a scape, then proceed with any additional equipment/lighting change to accomodate the plants.

Try to use a cannister. I think it requires quite little maintenance.
