Cannot find any sight of staghorn or algae. All plants look so healthy. UYou have done a great job! Impressive if this is uryour first attempt. Or do uyou mean many attempts with other sizes tanks?.

Pleasant setup with great photography!
Cheers!
thanks. just sold my DSLR .. so have to live with PnS
my first one was a 1.5ft tank. Then i figure out the problem was with CO2 not enough.. too much lighting .. too little nutrient.. and water temp was too high .. so I looked into EI dosage .. and it solved the staghorn problem .. only left trace of fuzz algae..![]()
WOW!! It looks great bro...im a noob in aquascaping though but really feel a sense of peace just by looking at the pictures. So neat and tidy...very healthy plants also.![]()
What made you think you have failed miserably? I think you are being overly-humbleLooks good and keep it up

Nicely done, but parts of the bare background is a little distracting.
Good to see someone using substrate other than GeX or ADA.How did you manage to clear the sediments of Flourite and how long did it take?
Simply stunning, do keep us updated!
Love the glosso, so low growing and dense, wow!

Great looking tank and very well display on the DW, This tank should good for competition and sure to get good result. Well done.
I am thinking of cover up the bare area with some low height plants. Already planted some rotala walichii and rotala najenshan awaiting them to grow up and do the trimming.
I am using Flourite mainly due to it long lasting and high iron.
- I washed the flourite 3 times.. for each 3.5 kg of sand. Then pour away the floated particles (mainly tiny dust which I believed they are the one causing the cloudiness in most of the tank).
- Then I added the washed sands to the tank and fill the water slowly (*this is very important).
- Usually it will turn a bit cloudy then I just left it stand still for 1 day. I drained out the cloudy water and refill new water carefully and the tank is ready to do the planting.
- Cloudy is not an issue when doing rescape.
nice tank...
bro if you do that on ADA soil, you will never get clear water..
If the tank still survive after my next month busy oversea business schedules.
I use flourite because it won't disintegrate over time unlike ADA soil.
I would like to try ADA soil in my next project to see how the cloudiness compare to seachem.
But one thing for flourite is that plants take longer time to root well in the substrate.
So that substrate your using is Seachem Flourite yes?
