Is there such thing as an albino betta splendens? I ask this because a small percentage (10 or so fry) of my fry are white but the other fry are dark...by the way the fry are 3 weeks old...

well unless they have red eyes, no they're not albino.
albino are a total loss of pigment making the blood vessels in the eye visible.
what you may be seeing are cellophane or yellow fry both caused by recessive colour-loss genes that can surface anytime in a lot of breedings.if you want more info on genetics this is a good site: http://watershed3.tripod.com/types.html

Ah...thanks I forgot that albinos have red eyes...i guess none of them are albino

there is albino betta....albino betta is blind....
have yet to heard of albino betta. I guess there is not unless you marry a betta with Albino guppy
