    Hi all,

I'm out looking for a new 4-footer tank, and got a good deal for one with 6mm glass. Is this too thin? Really appreciate any input, thanks!

    Regards, and Merry X'mas!!

Hey Darth Kelvin, long time no see! Haha, I've been MIA for a long time man. School's damn busy.

Glass thickness is *the* very reason why I wanted to change my tank. Remember my tank stats? They were 5mm thick for a 4-footer, and it's been this way for 12 months now. But then I realised I should get myself an X'mas present, heheh!

Thanks, I think I will go for a 10mm then.

    Regards,
    Hong Yee

Ya!! Have you guys ever seen glass (Yes, GLASS) bend? Mine's bent for 12 months liao .. it's more thrilling than a roller-coaster ride. But that'll mean I have to look somewhere else for a tank. Just wondering if any of you can refer me to a good tank-maker? Some details of what I want:

    1) 4' x 2' x 2' 10mm glass tank
    2) Treated wood cabinet and hood (without any lights and wiring - plan to DIY MH)
    3) Pre-drilled tank

How much will I be expecting to spend? My parents gave me a budget of below $900, so it's really toughman. But sigh .. will only start earning money in 5 years' time, alamak![:0]

Last of all, I hope all of you will have a safe and good year ahead!

p.s. Was hinting and hinting to my gf that I wanted chiller for X'mas (yes, it's a far cry I know) but all I got was a self-made candle holder, aiyah.

a bended glass.. good luck to u.. u are indeed treading on very thin ice.. hahaha.. a chiller for xmas.. if u get it.. u are one hell of a lucky fella.. hahaha.. there is a few posts on tank makers mentioned in AQ.. u might want to take a look at them...... i did my tank from proglass.. sorry, dun have the number anymore.. u have to check it out on yellow pages.[:] their quality is real good.. uses black silicon (have to tell them) using CNC m/c to cut and drill.. so, very good finishing..
