Has anyone tried JEBO canister filters?

Hi all, was just browsing at several LFS's tonight, and I have been thinking for a while about replacing my MIN JIANG canister (1200lph) which gives me nothing but grief. Noticed the JEBOs are a fair bit cheaper than the big names, but never heard much good OR bad about them. anyone have any input?

i have one! lasting me till now (over 3 years) i think as long as you dont touch them that often they work great, many people complain of leaks and faults tho. Dont expect to get spare parts for it tho because well... its cheap! Tried Tetra before?

I'm using Dolphine C-1000 canister. It good and quiet too. Well for price like Dolphine, JEBOs or all china brand canister (consider cheap type), as long as you used for 2 yrs and above,consider worth it already. So even you can't get any spare part, buy a new one still worth the money.

Unless you are pro then maybe you want to consider going into Ehim brand (expected to be few hundreds dollars but believed able to work for years)

How about giving a try on the tetra cannister,i heard that its good

Well, I bought the JEBO today, I got the 1200L/ph model 838. It pulls 28 watts so not so heavy on the electric bill. The attatchments and hoses were IMO a little flimsy, but the unit itself seems sound. Its really quiet as well, I guess time will tell, but for Y400RMB or about $57 I figured I'd take the chance. I still have the old filter that I'm gonna clean up for a spare. As for the Tetra filters, I have used their HOBs and was impressed.

Since the Jebo canister are manufactured in China, are you able to get parts from there? Easy to find parts in the fish shops?

I got one which use for 4 year until I went oversea and past it to a friend, he still useing it.

Accessories are easy to find, such as spray bars, diffusers, venturies etc... They do sell replacement seals and O rings as well, but as far as impellers and the like, I think the Pump is a sealed unit.
