Today I was a Pet Safari (East Point) and noticed a plant in their tank which seems rare to me. I approach the salesman (almost bald) to enquire about the plant. He told me it is a new breed of plant and it is not for sale. Does anyone know the name of this plant? A brief description of it - it looks like vallisneria species but it is reddish purple in colour. The leaves are 1 - 3 mm in width and 30 -40 cm in height. It looks a bit like cryptocoryne tonkinensis. Anyone can verify it?

The tank along the walkway nearest to the exit/entrance leading towards Simei MRT. It seems that to be recent replanted.
