I started the hobby since 02/06/08. First tank which is the office tank (22cm Ocean free) has only 8 CRS B~C shrimps. No filteration, no C02, no fertilizer, only change 10% water on Monday and top up additional water on Friday morning. Aircon 24degrees Monday to Friday. So far 1 CRS already gave birth and another still on the way.

2nd tank which is my home tank is only 1.5ft tank bought from NA. I started the tank since 29/08/08. All you have seen in the tank mostly brought from brothers in the forum. At present, only 10 hino CRS in the tank.

Yeah, the home tank looks much more beautiful. The plants looks very healthy and I always like to have this type of concept of a river. Nice work.

Hi sorry for the blur pictures. I used my N73 to take the pictures. The "tree" i used a Bogwood which actually part of the roots. I inverted the wood and placed it in the tank. Took me sometime to settle the floating problem.

I will soon need to take out the Mini Riccia beacuse i'm lazy to trim and also i want my shrimps to have more land space.I will install a clay shelter with moses on the right side of the tank by the next 3 weeks or so.

    Hi there,

Your home tank has lots of potential. Will look like a picturesque painting of a little bridge under a big tree.

Your office tank lacks a focal point. Perhaps you can shift the moss or to throw in another rock?

    Good luck!

    Thumbs up RE: Office Tank

Hi! During that time,I was in the 1st month of my new job (probation period) and i'm really scared my boss will scold me, that's why the tank is very very simple. By the way, most of the white stones or rocks you found in the office tank or home tank are old sea mud stones. Very expensive but really good.

I will be updating my office tank soon after the 3rd shrimps give birth. Just found out my 2nd shrimp already gave birth and 3rd one on the way over the past weekends.

New tank will be the narrow 35cm X ~20cm X ~20cm type. No ideas on the landscape yet. I pray my boss will not yell at me. Most likely, i will be making some simillar cartoon trees or maple trees found in CRS Haven. Hee hee wish me luck. For shrimps... hmmm a good pair of double hino shrimp, one pouch snail (for the protein film), one ramshorn (for the leftover shrimp food) and a couple of horned snails (for the glass wall).

    Hi bro,

nice tanks you have there. Like your home tank, especially the tree-like BW... Ha! Ha! Looks like you are going to start another tank in your office? Make sure you name some of the plants/shrimps after your boss to make him feel proud & engaged also... [Then at least he don't dare to yell at you mah...]

Btw, one of the CRSs already berried in my tank (noticed it last week) & now waiting to see tiny cutie CRS shrimplets soon... [How long it takes for the eggs to hatch by the way?]

Am glad that the Ramshorns are useful in clearing the uneaten food in your tank... If you are successful in breeding your HINOs, let me know k...

    Regards.

    Hi bro,
Normally for me, i count 3 weeks but some says 22 days for the eggs to hatch. For the home tank, the CRSs had eggs but dropped after a few days. I really want to give up on them. Now, i add only a few drops of excel for the plants. No more DIY Co2, no more long hours light, no more fertilizer macro and no more mosura mineral plus. See the next few weeks whether they pregnant again or not. I got 1 super good SS Full double hino and i hope she pregnant again. If not i will transfer her to the new office tank to enjoy. She and the only husband with some snails as gardeners. Ha ha!
For the new tank, I will need to buy from serangoon north 35cm type. The ocean free tank 1ft, i feel a bit small and price not much different. Bro Wonder also looking for a 35cm tank.

Stunning home tank. That wood is absolutely one in a million. Very lucky to have such a piece of wood.

I purposely do the US fissiden on top of the wood instead of around it so that it looks better. After some time, it will wave down a bit like rain tree..easy trim also.

I have already stopped the DIY CO2... a bit out of control and also light for 24/7 not good. I have started to use Seachem Flourish excel few weeks ago. Not bad. Light control 9hours daily using timer.

LOL.. yes... 13w small light only. My tank is 8G, minimum light should be 8 X 2 =16W or PL 18W.
