Man, hiding in that 3 inch by 3 inch "tank"? Well I guess they could behind the sponge filter... the ones at midori certainly did that well now that I think about it. Speaking of which, I got a bad survival ratio from mine. 1/3 died even after 3 hours of slow water adjustment to a tank with ph of 6. Anybody else experience this or otherwise with these fish? Possibly wild caught, since they appear so fragile IMO.

Try feeding bbs. They should be receptive towards moving food. I remembered seeing their shy nature in Wackytpt's tank. Always hiding, only coming out once in a while.

As what gene has said, these fishes are very shy. But once you see the full grown male specimen. You will be drooling.

Live bbs is best for them.

Are they cool with malayan shrimps??? I've got a neglected tank full of malayan shrimps ... trying to find some fish to add in as well.

What fishes are you keeping them with? Does the tank have some shady places for them to hide?

The last time I kept them, I fed them JBL tetra bits I crushed to slightly smaller pieces. Then I oriented the water flow such that the food flows from one side to the fishes at the other side. Vertically dropped (parachuted) food don't appeal to them. Feed them like they are marine fishes eating planktons.

They are in my planted community, with lots of shade & hiding place & other small fishes. I hardy see them, & I don't even know if they are still alive. I presume they are as i've only found 2 dead bodies.

Have completely no luck in having them to feed dry food. I don't even know if they have ever eaten. Now i'm trying to start a "shrimp farm" in my planted tank so i can be depend on shrimplets to feed those critters.

A batch of about 50 came in Midori on Thursday evening. Some with nice coloration already. I bought some the moment it arrived; but I encountered high casuality rate

Hi bro the fishes very skinny leh
You have any hiding places for them like bogwoods or something. They need those to feel secure to feed.

    Bro Orion,

2 day's old fish fresh from LFS and into a pico tank will take some time to get fed . Floating plants, spikey moss on lava rock and rotala as background has created coverage for them.
