I though it is very easy just put container on top of your tank, put filter media in it and pump water to it

i've been surfing the net searching for plans in building a multi layer OHF, but no luck for me.
Can you guys help me, please.

May I know how big your tank is?
1st is to get hold of a water pump which could run / turn over at least 8 - 10 times of the volume of water of you tank.
2nd is to see whether could your hands on multi plastic trays or basins.
3rd, drill holes of about 5-8mm at the base of the tray/basins.
4th, Find a way to stack them up, one way on top of each other…
