    In which order do I place the following equipment - Canister filter,chiller,pump to drive the chiller,CO2 external reactor?

    Also does anyone know the size of the hose used for for Hydor canister filters and Hailea chillers (in mm)?

    Thanks in advance!

    I don't quite understand the pump to drive chiller portion bro. Are you running a sump? The configuration I'll do is;

    Without pump to drive chiller;

    Canister -> chiller -> CO2 reactor

    IMHO, its either a canister or pump if you're considering it on the same line of process as over the long run, you may damage one of the motor especially if both have different flowrate.

    The ideal setup is-

    Canister--co2 reactor--chiller--tank

    The co2 reactor before the chiller is to ensure that the longer journey will enable the co2 to be fully absorbed into the water column and the short journey from the chiller to the tank is to ensure that there are no temperature gain of the water flowing to the tank.

    Thanks guys.I am considering using a seperate pump to drive the chiller in case my canister is not up to the job,that's why.Or is there no need to do so?Won't the chiller slow down the flow rate of my canister?

    well, you will then have to look at the specs of the canister and think about the optimum flow rate for the chiller. By adding an additional pump might increase a a flow rate too fast to cause the water not to be cooled enough causing the chiller to be turned on for longer.
