    Mine seems fine.
I even have some plantlets growing and some already matured.
No CO2, only using Seachem flourish excel, fan, 55W PL lighting and GEX soil as substrate..that's all.

It is a very easy plant to keep, although growth is extremely slow.

The yellow leaves could be damaged but it will be replaced with new, submersed leaves when it starts growing. You can just trim off the yellowing leaves.

Overall, just give it a fertile substrate and wait.

Growth is very slow - i second that. I've had mine for months on end now and i swear it hasnt grown, even though i know it has. Just hardly noticeable.

Co2 is not essential. It will grow faster in cooler waters & rich substrate.

I have used excel for a period of one month and noticed no visable difference. My experience however is not one i would class as 'reliable' due to my tank being in poor quality these last 12 months. Growth of all my plants in generally has stunted and i'm currently trying to upgrade alot of things in my tank.

About a year ago i would have said yes, but recently i've come to discover that lights, CO2, ferts and substrate all play an important part in plant growth. One thing to note is growth is painfully slow in this plant anyway, so without the above 4 things it just takes even longer. Its generally very easy to keep and is one plant i deem as 'unkillable' Hope i havnt cursed your luck there.
