22 degrees is fine. But try not to lower any further. You may notice they will have less activities or even eat less.

since we are on the topic of crs temp limits... anyone know the highest temp a piece of SSS grade can breed in? 26 degrees ok?
To my understanding, temperature shouldn't exceed 28~30 degree max. If any further, even plants wouldn't survive as well. Just to share. Correct me if I'm wrong experts...

it's been 2 weeks or so with my hinos... keep them at 25-26 degrees... they seem fine.... don't dare to try increase then temp haha
The purpose of having low temperature is to maintain the amount of dissolved oxygen in the tank which is needed for shrimps like CRS. Furthermore, shrimps adapted to certain oxygen levels will be difficult to acclimated to lower ones.
Levels of dissolved oxygen depend on water temperature and the equalizing effects of surface currents. Higher temperature equals lower dissolved o2 and lower temperature equals higher dissloved o2. Having surface movements will lead to atmospheric O2 diffusion, thus bringing in higher rate of dissolved o2 too.
Crs can survive at a range of 20-30 degress, but its advisable to keep them in the range of 24-27 degrees.
Corleone, 22 degrees is fine. The only effect is like what bro sign mentioned, their metabolism will be slowed and hence lesser activities.
Bro Yidali, having a tank beside a window do affect shrimps in a certain way. If worry, this can be solved by increased aeration or installing cooling equipments.
Many thanks for these precious informations! Points noted!

During the day i use hang-on fan, during night i On the air-con around 24 degree C.
Will this changes of temperature, kill those crs?
Thanks

Depend on the size of your tank? If leass than 2 ft, shouldn't have any problem.
yeah i guess you could try.... keep us updated on it
shouldn't be a problem. during daytime, you can also keep the curtains drawn to prevent sunlight coming in to heat up the room.
Cheers,

I wouldn't try higher grades in this situation. Go for the B or C grades first... the losses if any are easier for the wallet to bear as well.
