    Hi all, as above.

One of the 15 watt light tube is flikering and I don't know if I should just get replacement light tubes or just get a new 2ft lightset...

    Is 30watt too low?

    please advise....

    No problems.

You should be the one deciding what scape you want and not let the lights dictate you.

30 watts is good enough to be considered a moderately lit tank and you do have a choice of a variety of plants to play with.

Just remember, with lower lights, the plants have lower demands for carbon and nutrients, which in turn can be easier on you in maintaining the tank. Its all about balance.
Studying the water chemistry and nutrients is a science.
Knowing what plants to get and how to use them is an art.
Aquascaping is a marriage of art and science, the logical and emotional.
