Actually, since im a newbie, i really dont know how the plants will grow.. So far i trust all the lfs uncles. Also, most of my plants are from Iwarna at Pasir Ris Farmway 3. And the worker there was the one who explained to me about the various plants. But i dont know the names of the plants yet. Eventually if they do get too big, i guess ill have to trim them or shift them to the back. Here is a bigger picture.

Egeria Densa(2nd from right stem plant) which you've placed at the front will grow and grow and grow, regular trimming will be required and i advise you to move it to the back.

You've mixed alot of gourami's? Although not much of a problem it may become one over time. Albeit they arent terrotorial they may pester one another for some space. I would have suggested maybe one species and either have a pair of get 1 male to 2-3 females.

Thats true bro, i was suffering from the "every fish so nice disease' so i bought so many different fish. Now, i realise its abit messy.

Your foreground looks empty while the plants that you place in the tank will grow quite tall.

Perhaps you want to get some foreground plants. Easier plants might be E. Tennellus or maybe a moss floor.
Studying the water chemistry and nutrients is a science.
Knowing what plants to get and how to use them is an art.
Aquascaping is a marriage of art and science, the logical and emotional.

You have way too many fishes and your ramshorn snail will explode from 4 to 400 in no time. It looks like you are going for a dutch layout, you might want to do a google search on dutch layout or go to the library to read up more on it. Mind you, dutch layout is the most challenging to maintain but also the most rewarding scape, given its spectacular view.

Nice setup... However, maybe change the plants in the foreground to slower/shorter plants... In no time, the plants you have in the foreground will grow up & outgrow those behind & cover up the nice hardscapes...

Hi, people.. its been nearly 2 months since my tank setup.. Well, i have seen my stem plants grow to great heights... Had to shift those plants in the front to the sides of the tank. And they have all breached the surface..

As for my ramshorns.. every single one of them died..no idea why.. and my water seems kinda cloudy.. I do about 40% water change every week but still no improvement.. Ill post another picture of my tank soon.. EXAMS COMIN.. so have been kinda busy.. Cheers to all the replies.. Thanks for the suggestions people!!
