Glosso growing straight up!

I've newly planted some Glosso in my 2.5ft tank(96L), but they're not creeping along the base,instead they're shooting straight up! My lighting is abt 108W. Isn't it more than enough? what's happening? Can anyone please help? Thanks a million.

did u plunge them deep enuff? what i did was to plant them till i could only see the leaves onli

what you can do is to plunge it back into the substrate...incidentally how thick is your substrate level to the base fert?

Is your glosso shaded, can the lights reach them?
How old are the lights tube, change them if they are 6 months old.
How's your CO2 level? Recommend to have ph 6.8 and below.

can't recommend on 'UP' fertilizer, never tried them b4.. I use TMG together with some dennerle fertilizers

3cm is pretty okay...the reason i asked was that if the gravel layer is too deep like 4cm to the base fert, certain forground plants may have difficulty reaching the base fert....

How to overcome the problem of having the base fertilizer too deep from the gravel top. Can I use those 'stick' fertilizer, any brand recommend? Thanks.

you could use fert balls, or the jobe sticks and plunge it midway....
