Need to find out from the expert here, i have artica chiller recently purchased. I set the temperature 23C, I notice when the chiller reach 23.5, chiller will start kick in again.

My previous chiller "Resun" I recall the chiller only kick in after temperature increase by 1 degree.

Any special setting require? now the chiller keep kick in every 0.5 temperature increase.

    Appreciate your input

    hi edi.helmy,

i am facing this problem before too when i got my first chiller, but mine are Haile made in China.don't know about Artica Chiller.if it is the same setting method, then i think you need to do a zeroing in your default setting, if i am not wrong your default setting are at +1, try to set it to "0"

All new model of arctica chiller will start to kick with 0.5 deg difference meaning if you set temperature to 23deg when tank temperature reach 23.5deg it will kick in. The regulating of temperature is more accurate & so better for the fauna. I have arctica chiller mine will kick in when the temperature rise by 0.5deg. It is normal that is more precise & less temperature fluctuation good for crs keeping & sensitive fishes that need cool temperature.

bro, thanks for the info. Glad to hear it was not due to malfunction. Because my previous chiller resun only kick in when the temperature delta by 1 degree instead of 0.5. do you happen to know any setting that can be set to make it as 1 degree? just see if those can help to save the electricity bill

My resun only kicking when the temperature raise by 2 degree. Honestly it would be great if I can somehow set it to 1 degree different.

Doubt if letting the chiller kick in only after a 1 degree rise in temp will save power.

Takes longer time for the chiller to cool 1 degree as compared to 0.5, so power consumption should be similar.

More consistent temperature control will be better for your fauna.

hmmm, then the chiller will stop when the temperature reach where you set, or 2C below what you set?

Cos mine I set at 24C. It will kick in when it reach 24.4 and run till temperature drops to 23.6. +-0.4C.

the shiller stop at the temperature that I set. For example if I set at 25, the chiller compressor turn on at 27 and stop at 25. Mine is resun maybe different brand have different setting.
