    Thanks All Bros,

Now I've got a problem to solve:

    1. Find a female gephyra (still no response to my posting on the market place (and sell of the male rio mamore red

    or

    2. Find a female gephyra rio mamore red and sell off my male gephyra

    or

    3. Or sell both and start with a confirmed aga pair

Any suggestion? The poor rio mamore red has been hidding with nipped tail even since...

    Hi Tony

    A. sp. "Rio Mamore" and A. gephyra are 2 different fish. So your term "female gephyra rio mamore red" is wrong.

Both species are not easily available. You should check with Biotope aquarium or C328 if they are able to find you a pair of either species. From the past, both LFS brought in A. sp "Rio Mamore" before. And only Biotope brought in the A. gephyra.

    Hi Eugene,

Thanks for the clarification. There a typo error (cut and paste wrongly, what I'm trying to say is to sell one of the male and get a female of the other type to form a pair).

It is indeed rare to find female of both the species because there is still no reply after few days of posting in the marketplace. May have to plant more to increase coverage and keep them as it is till a female can be gotten from LFS or the forum.

    Thanks.

A quick update. 3rd week into the new tank and the apistos have adapted very well into the tank and have improved in colouration.

4 - 5cm in length for both apistos; but no less a terror with constant flaring at each other. Still on a look out for any forumer to let go their females to pair with my males...

The other fella also looks fierce...

Great looking males. Good luck in your search.
