    Hi there...
    Need some idea here..
Have 3 pieces of wood... don't really know how to place it..
Attached are some photos of the placement..
thinking of tying some subwassetang/fissiden/moss on the wood.

Can give me some tips on how to better place them?
    any comments are welcome!

The 3 pieces seems small. I would combine them up to form a big piece somewhere off centre.

Depends on what landscape you want. Your wood cannot stand? Or you think the soil is unable to hold it? Some people actually use rock to hold it down. For me, i did it the hard way. ha ha.. cannot say... my secret.
I did not use dripping water method.

I'm thinking of making the death valley in lord of the rings 3... hee hee using us fissiden or mini riccia.

    maybe with gravels can stand..
actually wanted to do something like island style but think the wood might not be suitable..

frankly speaking.. even the soil 1 or 2 inches thick, the wood will still move like mine. The worst is when you doing trimming, you accidentially move it. Hee hee. Beware. My hint is "build your "strong" foundation well before you add the soil".

Something like 2 but rearrange the wood a bit so that it has more volume.

If you can get some rocks then you could create a good amount of height placing the wood on top of a mound of rocks or using the rocks to keep the wood in an upright position.

This is much better but I would move it a bit to the left/right instead of putting it right in the center. A bit off center would be nicer.

If you want 2 woods to join together, you can use those plastic fastener, those that once fasten it cannot release type, black colour. To build an island, use rocks around the soil to prevent the soil from mixing with the beach gravel(lapis gravel), try to bury some part of the rocks to make it look more natural. If you dont use rocks to block the soil, the soil after sometime will slip down due to either maintenace or trimming, etc... Your wood also can tie with rocks also if it cant stand. Below pic is the plastic fasten to tie 2 woods together.
