Dear Hobbyist,

I would like to say Hi to everyone and hope to get to know more hobbyist through this forum. Will definitely need advise and guidance from you all.

At the moment I am upgrading my 2 feet Cichlid tank to 4 feet. Now preparing the 4 feet tank with gravels and rocks. Imagine having 14 cichlids (most 3 - 4 inches) in one 2 feet tank.
They will be moved to 5 room HDB this weekend.

Will let the filter running for a few days first.

But I am rearing mostly Male cichlid. Don't think they can spawn. ;P

Hi! Guys,

My Cichlid got 2 couples start spawning. First couple (think thick skin), 2 times holding but not successful. Think the eggs are not fertilized.

Second couple the female was a fierce one and she managed to hold for around 3 weeks. Saw the timing is right so I moved her to another 2 feet tank and guess what, on third day morning I saw a big school of them swimming around but bit shy. Later they start to be more daring and waited on the corner where I feed the mum also. I counted, got at least 45 of them. Quite excited with this cichlid husbandry.

Species wise not sure, kind of Mbuna. Both light blue colour.
