Thinking to get a mini chiller (Resun CL-200/280 or Hailea HC-100A) I don't know which one suitable for my 1.5 Feet marine tank. I'm using Tetra EX Power 75 filter. The water flow rate is 660L/hr max. Please give me some advice...BTW Resun CL-200 very hard to find, any idea?????

You getting the chiller at Malaysia? Which part? Guess it's harder to get compare to Singapore.

Well, both chiller got their pros and cons, first, you have to work out your budget. There are a lot of discussion about both chiller, try to do an advance search at Equipment and Accessories forum.

I am using the Hailea chillers, 1 HP older model (grey color) and 1/10 HP newer model (Black color). The grey color is noisy and the black color one is quieter.

In term of effectiveness and efficiency , I think both are fairly good, except the internal thermostat. Both of them , I plugged them into separate DIY external thermostat and measuring the tank temperature instead of depending on the internal thermostat. Further more , the external thermostat gives me lots more options and features to manipulate and control to much finer detail, such temperature calibration, delay, delta to cut in and off (instead of the usual 1 deg difference). I delay each cut in time by 20 mins and hence reduces in a day the number of times the chiller cut in - prolong the lifespan of chiller as well as reducing the power consumption due to frequent cut in. I hardly see 20 mins delay increase to another 0.1 deg, even so, to reduce 0.1 deg won't take 20mins , may be 5 mins or so.

Actually, I'm thinking of the Resun CL-200 or Hailea HC-100A, my budget is very limited. I hardly find these 2 model in Ipoh, Penang and KL. I thinking of get in Singapore becoz my relative live in JB, he always come back to Ipoh every 2 weeks. What I concern is the Tetra water flow rate problem, I worry the chiller will kick in very frequently. Isn't it the external thermostat can solve the low water flow rate problem???? How much for Resun CL-200 and Hailea HC-100A in singapore???

I will suggest CL-280 or HC-150A, since the price are not much different and you able to upgrade to 2ft tank in the future.

External thermostat is to control the temperature, nothing to do with water flow rate, if you cannot upgrade to a stronger filter, I will suggest you add a pump like Eheim 1250.

For the price, check out http://aquamarin.com.sg/abrand.asp?c...=4&cn=Chillers

I'm not going to upgrade my tank to bigger size beacause my house very pack. That's why I thinking of get Resun CL-200 or Hailea HC-100A, I think the water flow rate can match with my Tetra filter, do you agree......Anyone know where to get these 2 chiller? How much?
