Has anyone seen these? It all started growing on my driftwood and now it spread to my tank. Pretty annoying to see that but just do not know what it is?I dont think those are snails egg? Way before i put in snails, it surfaced from nowhere and now the population is growing! It sticks firmly and I have to use satay stick to prick up.

sorry but I can't confirm from the pics alone... Do they move? If yes, is it in a very slow snail-like manner? Or do they move by darting around on the driftwood?
Based on what you stated that you need to use satay stick to prick them off the DW... I'm thinking that they may be freshwater limpets (You may go to this webby for more info http://fishaliciousfish.blogspot.com...n-my-aqua.html) However, the limpets I found in my tanks are not so white in colour (maybe it's due to lighting etc...)
Alternatively, if you think that the DW is the source where these bugs are coming from, you may wish to take out the DW & pour boiling water over it & let it soak in it for a few days to rid off any future potential outbreak...
Just my 5 cents, hopefully more experienced bro/sis can come in to help??

Their shape look alot like limpets to me (which I have a fair share in my tank too), but not sure about the reflective nature (under flash - haven't taken photos of them with flash before). Usually they prefer sticking to the tank surface and haven't seen mine on the driftwood much.

They dont move at all and under the normal lighting it is whitish. When i prick off from the surface, it leave a mark on the surface. Under the magnifying glass, it looks like an empty shell. Most important, are they harmful to my tank?

Don't snail eggs have some kind of jelly around them? Or different for each kind of snail?

yes... different for each type of snail.
can get rid of it? but i m still puzzle where on earth these snail eggs come from?
my guess would be from the plants you imported from other tanks

yes.. you can get rid of it... but you need to do it manually.. these guys are pretty stubborn
