I also not sure about that, but have been hearing from alots of people already , say that best is not to place fishtank in bedroom. Think something to do in Fengshui things. Don't know it true or not.

In kitchen for me... more natural light, and the only space I can find.

Where do you place yours, psps1000?

Yup, also heard not good to have tanks in bedroom.

    Hi psp1000,
Placing an aquarium in the kitchen might look awful? How about placing it in the dry kitchen Cause my next tank would be at the kitchen if the designer didnt change the position of the tank. But I think that nearer to the kitchen, when you change water or top up water, it would be much more easier. Just my opinion.

I have 1 in my living room, and 3 in my kitchen.
The dumb hdb design made that so, my kitchen is huge, might as well utilize the space.

That might be old house design, you should see my new house floor plan under HDB bto. Not even a small table can place in the kitchen.. But the sq ft is still the same as old design, wonder where the space goes to?

    Let's keep to the discussion.
Personally, I will choose proximity to the toilet/tap over fengshui

true also, nearest to the toliet/tap, more easy for water change, but sometime fengshui also important, if really bring bad luck, will you still place it near to toliet/tap??

hmm..... true, I agree with that. It is usually more pratical. But my parents have also called a fengshui master to come look at our house. But I think it depends on the house itself, and heard from him that many of those fengshui articles on newspaper are actually false information. Although I am not really into fengshui, I think that we should go for a more pratical idea on placing a tank, cause sometimes it can be pretty troublesome carry loads of water around the house. Just my point of view
