Electronic Co2 System

Hi guys,
anyone here is familiar with electronic co2 system? is it effective and reliable?that uses carbon plate. thinking of getting one to try out, but before that would like seek so advices. thank you

what i've read is that you need a certain amount of KH before it will work effectively. (and plants don't usually like hard water)

most people find that its troublesome/not worth the effort, efficiency not up to par.

So far I have yet to hear good things about it. Not experinced it myself, so no comments.
