I have also tried it. CO2 splitter cost me $25. I installed it myself using the guide given in our forum. My tank is 3 ft and it helps distribute the co2 bubbles. However, 1.5 ft tank is overkill.
There's another method for big tank, using this type of splitter. Click >here< . Some shop do sell it.

these spilters are available at one of the hardware shops opp ICA, Lavender. It is basically a shop selling penumatic valves and the price is very good. one is about 2 gokd coin or at max 5 gold coin. Some of them even comes with micro control. I got one for myself some time back.![]()
