i think put some moss in the tank would be better.. let that cory calm down..
i bought 3 panda corys ... and was putting them into a bowl (on the floor) to transfer to my new fish into my tank. as i lowered the bag almost like 10cm off the ground, one of them slipped onto the floor. i quickly picked him up and put him into the water ...
now he isn't moving ... i'm so scared he will die
i'm such an idiot
anyone knows ? he isn't moving at all, even when the other corys go near him (like want to stay near him) he just stays still ... i can't see him still moving but still breathing.
i just pray he doesn't die![]()

Whatever happened to your punctuation marks? And with a thread title like that.... *shake head*... I have renamed it accordingly.
Back to your fish, is it in your tank now or in a temporary container? Dim the lighting and put in additional aeration in the form of an air pump.

Hmm ... I always thought corydoras are tougher than that. I've had corydoras sucked out to the drain when I was changing water and put back to the tank and they're still ok. So my impression on them is they are tough fishes. Anyway, those that got sucked out are not pandas, so maybe they're different. Well, anyway, keep us updated.

sorry mod ! will take note of it.
update , when i came back , went out for dinner ...
he was tossing and turning , he looked like in pain .
i think he will die soon . sigh i feel like a fool
i already put in lots of plants .
when i put him into the tank he immediately went on top on of the plants ...
didnt seem like normal behaviour because corys like to swim around , the other 2 were .
sigh i feel like a murderer
i think the one i caught was dying already and i added insult to injury
by letting him go to the floor

i heard panda is a more sensitive species compared to other cories.. so must be extra careful..
i feel so bad![]()

Not all of them are always active though. There may be relatively long periods where they like to rest quietly in certain corners and hiding places.
Can you describe the turning and tossing behaviour? Is the turning and tossing very sudden, erratic and all over the place? Hmm... it sounds as though the fish may be trying to shake off something that may have gotten into the gills etc.
As much as C. panda has been mentioned as being sensitive, it should not be an issue if they have been out of water for a very short while, unless they hit something and suffered some injuries. Do you see any signs on injury on the fish? Is it breathing heavily?
As mentioned, try to increase the aeration, good amounts of dissolved oxygen may just do wonders.

That's sad.![]()
