    Hi all,

    - Anyone using the R.O system to top up the lost of water in the Marine Tank ? I have upgraded my Protein Skimmer (Pro Skimmer), now instead of topping up water, I am looking inot the R.O system.

    - Kindly anyone with this info. please share with me :
    1) Where to buy
    2) How it works ?
    3) Cost ?

    So far I've heard of few people here using RO - Henry at Marine Life uses it for his personal aquariums tho. I use a DI (Deionising) unit at $70, recharging costs $50. The unit makes about 1700L before requiring recharging. RO is good if you can afford it, but caveats include slow water production and water wastage - ie you need about 5-6L of input water to produce 1L RO water. IMHO, DI water is quite good liao ... you can filter it through activated carbon or polyfilter before (to extgend lifespan of DI resin) or after (to make even purer water).
