My CRS tank pH is getting higher everyweek, reaching 7.0. How can I lower it safely without affecting the shrimps?

You should find out what's the reason to cause the high pH. How is your setup like? Have you add a layer of soil to stable the pH? Any coral chips in your tank or as your filter media?

For temporary solution, you can add some ketapang leaf to lower the pH.

I use pelleted soil and filter medium is ceramic ring.

yeah, I have a layer of oil, does it increase pH?

Where can I buy Ketapang leaf? It is expensive?

    Thank for your help.

pelleted soil? You mean gravel? I mean a layer of soil, not oil hehe. By adding aqua soil, it will reduce and stable the pH to 6.5-6.8. For ketapang leaf, you can pick up at lot of places, check out the link below:

I think Ketapang leaves helped. My PH reading was 7.6. Threw it a couple of the leaves, and measured again a couple days later. still about 7.4 or 7.6 I can't remember. But the leaves seem to have "healing" effects on the shrimps.

I think you can try that. I heard that some LFS sells. For me, my colleague, gave me some.
