Thats what i call lousy customer service.
Hi all, just want to know the thoughts of the general public.
I recently sold off a item to a buyer and a few days later he discovered the item was faulty and as this item is still under warranty I contacted the company and advise them to collect the item from the buyer's place in Jurong but I was taken aback when I was told that the item have to be collected from my place as the invoice state that I am residing in Woodlands...
I am just want to know is this the right way to conduct a business as I wouldnt wan to sell off my LCD tv in the near future and have Sony tell me to collect back the TV before they can come to my place and collect for repair.
Thats what i call lousy customer service.

They may have a set of 'rules' to follow but i believe if you make enough 'noise' they might give in. Losing a customer is the last thing they want to know & of cause, giving bad after sales service resulting in dissonance.

I do agree that the company have set of rules to follow but my main grouse is that the policy wasnt stated on the website that I purchase the item from and further more I have arrange for the seller to return the item to my place so the company can arrange to pick up the item from my place but I face another obstacles in that I will have to pay $10 because I am not able to meet them within their "day" collection time.
Funny thing was I face the same delivery problem when I wanted to purchase the item but the guy at that time can make a exception to deliver to my place on a weekend afternoon at no additional cost.
Its truly disappointing and frustrating.
if you look at some of the warranty cards, there are clauses that state that the warranty is not transferable. Therefore, even if you have sold the item to someone else, the company will still collect the faulty item from the name stated in the warranty card.
