I am still observing. Because this LED tube does not have much documented techincal documentations, so cannot simply extract from documents. I have been reading up LED applications. In which, I read mostly on Solar power LED lightings. Alot of users for solar powered lights commented on overlapping shadows.

Since LED lightings comprise of multiple LED lights. To ensure maximum coverage, the individual LED lights need to be properly placed and aligned. I got a strong feeling that I will need another tube of LED lights soon.

I think so too. Most solar power lightings have 2 years warranty. But for solar powered, it is the rechargeable batteries that can only last 2 yrs. 2-5yrs should be good enough for return-of-investment.

I find that 12mm glass for a 2ft tank is way too thick, 8mm is good enough.

in my opinion, it is because LED is also point source like MH. Like MH it will also create strong shadow.

Went IKEA last night, saw this LED light strip that can easily stick at any light casing, 1 pack come with 4 strip, with 12 LEDs on each strip, 25cm long. According to their site, it consumption 3.4W and life approx. 30.000 hours. 3.5 years only? hmm... Maybe is a good option for nano tank.

These are like LEDs use for decorating cars. They do not produce bright enough light.

The LEDs used by the LED light that I am using are High-Intensity LED. And do not require AC/DC transformer.

I got few LED strips in my car too .

I maybe trying out some "spot-light" like LED lights. Can get from lighting shops - found 1 at Kelantan lane. $12 for a bulb with 12 high-intensity LED. Tomorrow go and buy 2

    Re: 2ft LED light

the led seem to be in a tube form , is there any chance of it , maybe one or two leds failing ,easily can remove the casing and resolder the faulty ones?
