If they survive past a month then perhaps you add more of them.

    Keeping Sulawesi Shrimp

    Hi ! Folks,

I have had set up a Sulawesi tank on Depavali holiday. Have brought 10 pcs together with 1 Sulawesi rock at Thomson LFS. It was a ad-hoc set-up,so I bought some coral stone, chips and fine sand.

My was a 1ft tank filled with aged water & used a current tank submerse filter to cycle the tank 6 hours and release the shrimps with the bag water.

It about 3 weeks now, after twice 20% water change with soaked coral chip. So far lost only 1 shrimp to date .

Currently the shrimps are feeding well but not very active. Spent most time hiding or guarding their estabished territory .Have added another 2 pc of sulawei rock and 1 sulawei snail yesterday. Hope that it improve the tank envirovment.

Will take tank photo when lighting is install early Dec.

    Cheers !

With the recent earthquake in Sulawesi, not sure if the supply decreased and price of the shrimps increase?

I'm toying with the thoughts of setting a tank up for sulawesis. Does anyone know if moss and nanas will survive in higher ph waters? If not, what would the recommended plants be?

Natural View sulawesi tank only has a few sulawesi snails, 1 small sulawesi rock and a sponge air filter but the shrimps in there still breeds. (under his filter) The water he used is the same aged water for his cherries, sakura and CRS.
