    Anyone here keep peacock bass before?

    saw one at a LFS i wanted to buy. Need some info

    1) is a 3 feet tank enough for peacock bass?
    2) can it keep together with other fish? what fish can i keep with?
    3) what deco can i have for the tank? like driftwood or plants? will it tear the plants or knock on the driftwood?

    1. 3 feet is enough to keep a small peacock bass
    2. they are raptor bro so be aware and only can keep only with the same size or bigger size fish
    3. driftwood is okay

    3 feet tank won't last you very long. These predators grow very fast.
    Keep with similar predators or large cichlids. Can create flowing rivers setup.

    Yes..Peacock bass grow very very fast. And they grow BIG. 18 inches or more is not uncommon. Strong powerful fishes. And they are predators, eat anything that can fit into their big mouths. 3 ft is really too small except for the smallest juveniles. Got to think what you are gonna do when they reach 1+ft in a year or so.

    you can also fish for them in Pierce reservoir. make sure to fish only at the designated spots.
