hi spid, i actually have the same question as xianghao - are there any red males? why i ask is because i was at the lfs and they told me the whole tank of sakuras are female

Males are usually smaller in size and not so red.

Yes they belong to the same family.

Males are smaller in size and thus not often sold as sakuras due to their small size and poor coloration.

Self-made food is their main food source at the moment. Other times I do feed hikari algae wafer or hikari crab crusine.
