    My suggestion is nope since Tiger Barb are known as fin-nippers. Given the low flowing fins and slow movements of the Oranda, they will probably be sitting ducks...

    If some tank mates are really needed, probably other compatible goldfish like moors or ranchu...

    If your looking for something different, maybe a small school of White clouds, both are predominately coldwater fish. But the goldfish must not be overly big with mouth big enough to swallow the white clouds as meals.

    i have discus with goldfish..
    confirm that tiger barb or any other barbs are good friends of goldfish because they love the goldfish fins and tail!!...

    The Tiger barbs will probably peck on the oranda wen as well.Not suitable.
